Maryanne Ito age 33, Samoan/Japanese from Honolulu Hawaii is a soul singer/songwriter/performer likened to Erykah Badu and Jill Scott. This independent artist combines a soulful-jazz style with R&B and Hip Hop. She is a 2015 Na Hoku Hanohano Award Winner in Hawaii for Best R&B Album as well as a Vodafone Pacific Music Award Winner in New Zealand for the “Peoples Choice” Best International Artist. Her debut album “Waking Up” reached No.4 in the Official UK Soul Chart after only 6 weeks. Mother of two, Maryanne writes daily and loves to perform live with a full band or intimate acoustic sets. She collaborated Jemere Morgan (from Morgan Heritage) on the popular single “How I Feel” to give it a nice reggae edge. Maryanne continues to captivate listeners with her vocal talent, her adept play on words and her raw emotion that has converted first-time listeners into loyal fans. Her first international tour was in European and hosted by Musiconnex UK where she performed with Hollands premier acid-jazz band Tristan at world class venues such as Jazz Cafe London & Bizz’ Art in Paris, Sugar Factory in Amsterdam and more.
