Maryanne is an upcoming singer/songwriter from Sydney, Australia. Despite loving rock music for most of her life, she decided to venture out and explore the genre that is pop music. Her works re-emphasise the strong vocals and intense electronic instrumentation common to the genre, yet her music also manages to incorporate darker and more suggestive synthesisers in a fashion unique to herself; her lyrics too are of a pensive and melancholic nature, but albeit their sharpness, are still accessible for listeners. As of September 2014, Maryanne and followers alike are anticipating the completion of the next track from her mixtape titled ‘Under Your Cool’, which proceeds previously released debut track ‘Fame Kills’. Remaining songs are expected to be shared thereafter. In dedicating months into developing the mixtape, Maryanne and her friends also hope to attract the attention of a record label.
