Artist
Martin Ljung was a prominent member of one of swedens two dominant comedygroups and revue artists. Active in the 1940s to the 90s he kept a large fanbase and was nationally loved as an artist. Even though the glamour of his company KnäppUpp was slighly smouldered by the personal conflict with his counterpart Povel Ramel. Martin had an extremely deep bass voice wich he used effectively in his act and he is renowned for his monologues wich often approach the hysterical and absurd. In the years of KnäppUpp revues there was also a large number of songs for wich he must be given huge amounts of credit. Even those times when he's just in the chorus or just adds some vocal acting to put emphasis in the story. Not to lessen though that he really could put his basso to excellent use also when singing lead or solo.
