Not just a musician, it’s an art form: Martin 101. You might have noticed Martin’s unique character already on TV, cinema or in high profile fashion magazines. Vogue Italia, pop icon Madonna or companies such as MTV or Sony had Martin already on display. You can even look him up (under his real name Martin Meister) at the Londoner Victoria & Albert museum in the permanent ‘Street Style’ collection. In his birth country Austria – Martin is known for such classic TV ads as the animated ‘Der Standard’ (daily newspaper) or the award winning ‘Schauspielhaus’ ad. As well, Martin is flickering through the screens in his very own videos such as ‘Dangerous Cat’. Martin 101’s song writing, production and lyrics are very much inspired by stand out electronica/ glam pop and club music. Producers such as Giorgio Moroder or Mark ‘Spike’ Stent had some influence on the final sound of his digi-LP ‘High Fidelity’ as well as his latest outstanding ‘Sweet Dreams’ single. The spacious signature style made out of a perfect mix of dark electronica, classic synth pop, glam-attitude and power club music has a wholly sincere-, and wholly endearing-, take on the music Martin 101 loves.
