Mark Shepard is a singer / songwriter, guitarist, percussionist, who's early influences include Pete Seeger, Peter, Paul & Mary and then expand out into singer/songwriters like Joni Mitchell, Bruce Cockburn, Jackson Browne, Peter Gabriel, Paul Simon, Cat Stevens... Unique to Shepard is his use of world percussion and overtone singing in his acoustic rock songs. For over 30 years Shepard has been writing songs but until recently was unable to perform due to extreme stage fright. After learning "modern Jedi Mind mastery" techniques called Neuro Linguistic Programming or NLP for short, Shepard blasted through the performing anxiety and is now making his work available worldwide and performing more and more often.
