Artist
Mark Lind is a singer/songwriter from the close knit neighborhood of Charlestown in Boston, Massachusetts. He released his debut studio album Death or Jail in early 2006. Lind is also the front-man and bassist of Boston punk band The Ducky Boys. His next solo album, tentatively titled Compulsive Fuckup is due out in early 2007. Lind began writing songs during his senior year of high-school after being inspired by bands like Rancid and Green Day. By 1995, Lind and close friend Jason Messina would form The Ducky Boys and within three years, released two albums and grew in popularity in the Boston punk scene with the help of Dropkick Murphys' front-man Ken Casey. However, by 1999, the band fell into turmoil and soon broke up leaving Lind with no band. Soon after The Ducky Boys' downfall, Lind teamed up with his brother Rob Lind of Blood for Blood and began writing music. Focus heavily on song-writing, the two formed the band Sinners and Saints. The band had more musicality and pop elements than The Ducky Boys, a change that gave the band a unique sound. They were offered a record contract with Victory Records for the groups future album The Sky is Falling, but chose to turn it down, a huge mistake they would later admit. The album went on to have huge success and the band grew a huge following by 2002. Due to personal matters, Rob was unable to continue the project, and the band disbanded by the end of the year. Hoping to get back to his punk roots, Lind would form a Ducky Boy
