Award winning Australian composer/songwriter Mark Hansen is a classically trained pianist and contemporary guitarist with improvisational influences from jazz studies. His compositions range from meditative solo piano, through to orchestral, popular song and contemporary dance. His music expresses the full gamut of human emotional experience, from blissful joy to grief and sadness. Mark has had success in the 2006 USA Songwriting Competition and 2006 National Australian Songwriting Competition. His composing covers may genres from classical orchestral, jazz and pop, to children’s songs, novelty, folk and rock. He lives on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. He has a number of CDs and MP3s available from his website, as well as Solo Piano Sheet Music, and an e-Book “Piano Chords - The Easy Way” which teaches simple piano accompaniment for any song in a similiar way to guitar (no knowledge of music notation required).
