Marilyn Powell, born in the Kennington borough of London, started singing professionally in the sixties. She recorded 9 singles for Philips/Fontana and CBS and appeared on many TV shows including "Thank Your Lucky Stars" and "The Simon Dee Show". She has her place in history for being the first female singer in the World to cover a Beatles track with her first single, "All my Loving". All of these tracks are available now for download from iTunes and Amazon. a compilation album of her singles by Pop gear Records. Additionally "Something To Hold OnTo", written by Gallagher and Lyle, is featured on the Dream Babes volumes 3 and 6 compilation albums released on RPM records. After the sixties she went on to record albums which have been released on United Artists (Los Angeles), Manhattan Records (New York), President Records (London) and Mima Records. These albums include songs written by some of the World's best songwriters as well as some of her own songs. She has also worked extensively as a session singer including doing covers of Abba for the cult "Top of the Pops" records. Currently Marilyn has 3 albums available for download purchase on iTunes, Amazon and other download sites. They are the "Seeds", the recently released "Somewhere In The Night" and "The singles-1964-1970".
