Mariko Sen Ju - correct form: Mariko Senju (せんじゅ まりこ), born April 3, 1962, is a Japanese violinist. Japan Arts affiliation. Record label, EMI Music Japan (now Universal Music). Keio University Faculty of Letters Department of Philosophy graduate. Started with the violin at the age of 2, as 11 year-old studied under Toshiya Eto. Won in 1972 the all Japan Student Music Competition and won second place in Tokyo elementary school tournament. 1975, debut at the age of 12 with NHK Symphony Orchestra. 1977, at the age of 15, won the Japan Music Competition as the youngest. 1979 at the age of 17 won the 26th Paganini Competition.
