Marije de Vries is a singer-songwriter born on January the 16th 1990 in Alkmaar, The Netherlands. At age 17, she decided to enroll in the Acadamy for Pop-culture in Leeuwarden. This all forthcoming from her great passion that is music. Inspired by many great artists like: David Gray, Ray Lamontagne, Stephen Stills and Eva Cassidy she started writing folk/blues and country songs. Joined by her guitar, harmonica and Masha Schenkel, she can now often be found playing on the streets in Friesland, The Netherlands. Marije met Masha at the Acadamy for Pop-culture, and they soon discovered their mutual taste in music. They decided to also continue as a duo.
