Harpist Marie-Pierre Langlamet has a string of prizes and awards to her name, the first of which she earned at the age of 15. Her first principal harpist position, at the Nice Opera, was earned just two years later. She was educated at the Curtis Institute, has been principal harpist of the Metropolitan Opera under James Levine, and was appointed by Claudio Abbado as the principal harpist of the Berlin Philharmonic in 1993. Langlamet has also performed widely as a concerto soloist. ~ Patsy Morita, Rovi Read more: http://www.answers.com/topic/marie-pierre-langlamet#ixzz25yWVnB5C User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
