Marie Bryant (born 1919, died May 23, 1978) was an American dancer, singer and actor. Born in Meridian, Mississippi, Bryant was one of the most exciting dancers in the United States, her popularity peaking around the start of World War 2. In her career, she would work with several esteemed jazz musicians, including Duke Ellington, as well as appearing in a number of films, most notably in the famous jazz short 'Jammin' The Blues'.
