Mariama Samba has been described as an artist ahead of her time with an eclectic style that is testament to her artistry. The Multi-dimensional sing/rap-songwriter draws from vast areas of inspiration; from her African roots and electro-pop music of the noughties, to hard core gangster rap music of the 90’s, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg! Mariama has gone from opening shows for the likes of International African music pioneer, Youssou N’dour, to becoming an award winning artist at the Spirit of London Awards (SOLA), judged by Miss Dynamite, Richard Blackwood, and Leona Lewis. As well as penning catchy hooks to get you moving, she also uses her talent to craft hard-hitting lyrics with a machine-gun delivery exploring social issues, which allows a wide range of audiences to relate to her experiences. Mariama has performed in a vast array of high profile venues, from The Indigo2 to The Hackney Empire. It's been a busy and experimental winter in the studio for Mariama, where she's been infusing many styles, flavours, and genres; to create what she describes as 'MOBO Music'.
