Marija Marić (Mari Mari), born 17th September 1978 in Belgrade, is one of the most talented serbian singers. She started her music career in 1998 singing in clubs in Belgrade. Singing in those clubs she was discovered by the managers and songwriters from the group “MAG”. They suggested her to record an album with musician Daniel Bogdanović, who was also a member of this group. After a short time Mari left the group and started her own solo career. She appeared in music festivals like “Pjesma Mediterena” in Budva and “Sunčane Skale” in Herceg Novi. In the same year Mari released her fist solo album “Hoću da pevam” (I want to sing), where she worked with one of the most popular musicians in this region Kornelije Kovač. In 2004 she released her second album with the title “Linija života” (Line of life). That album got much more attention in Serbia than the first one. Almost the whole album was written by herself. Mari also tried her luck to enter the Eurovision Song Contest competition. She appeared two times in the serbian national selection: - 2004: song “Kad ponos ubije ljubav” - 2006: song “Da ti se dlanovi zalede” In 2009, she released her new album with the title "Uporno si tu" (You are inveterately here). The whole album was written by herself.
