The musical mastermind behind Kultiration; Marcus Berg, releases his debut soloalbum "Markendeya" on the 1:st of february. Marcus, who created his very own version of reggae called "organic folkreggae"" with his band Kultiration on this album takes a step towards a different sound one could call "organic folky rootsmusic". On the very eclectic album you´ll find all sorts of musical styles rangeing from singer/songwriter tunes to american folkrock, jazz, swedish folksongs and rootsreggae. The album was composed during Marcus´s time on Bali last year and you can really hear and feel the calmness and the nature he surrounded himself with down there in the music. On the second disc of this doublealbum you can hear Marcus experiment with dubmusic in his very own way that sometimes almost sound more like krautrock and ambient than dubreggae, but most of the time it connects to the classical King tubby/Lee "Scratch" Perry way of doing things.
