Marcos Kleine is a Brazilian guitarist, composer, and producer. Currently, he plays with the Brazilian rock bands Ultraje a Rigor and Vega, in addition to performing his own solo material. He is perhaps most know for his guitar version of the Palmeiras football team's anthem, which is frequently played when his heart team returns to the first division. Born in São Paulo in 1970, Marcos Kleine has always been passionate about music. At the age of 10, he taught himself to play the drums. At 15, he started playing the guitar and his dedication to the instrument was so intense that, at 18, he was already a teacher. Among his various works in the 1990s, his time as a member of the heavy metal band Exhort, with whom he recorded two albums, stands out. Also in the 90s, Kleine started a band to create guitar versions of popular movie themes and series: the Kleine Project was born. A massive Star Trek fan, Kleine made several well-received versions of the series' themes, which earned him an international audience and even landed him an invitation to compose the soundtrack for the Australian animated movie Sev Trek, a humorous parody of Star Trek. With his extensive experience on stage and in the studio, Marcos Kleine made a move into producing albums. Alongside his own works, he has produced the albums of a number of other artists, including OskMaradas, Luís Carlini, Maestro Briamonte, and Celso Cardoso.
