Marco Zenker is a German electronic music producer, DJ, and co-founder of the influential techno label Ilian Tape, renowned for his contributions to dub techno, minimal techno, and percussive, breakbeat-infused electronic sounds. Born in 1988 in Munich, Bavaria, Zenker grew up immersed in skateboarding culture, where he honed his creative skills by editing his own videos. His early musical influences included roots reggae, dub, and underground hip-hop, which would later inform the deep, rhythmic layers in his productions. At the age of 17, in 2005, Zenker attended his first techno party at the iconic Harry Klein club in Munich, an experience that profoundly shifted his trajectory.
