Jeremey Marck Davis (born October 05, 1990), is known by his stage name Marck Jai, was born to Jacquline Davis & Cecil Street in Albany Ga. Growing up, Marck Jai was always an outstandingly intelligent and extremely gifted child. While most children his age were learning how to walk and talk, Marck was already beginning to show his love for music by learning & performing every song that his ears came into contact with. Most of this influence came from his grandmother who was a Christian evangelist as well as a radio personality on Albany Ga.'s top AM radio station 9.60 Gold. The majority of his childhood was raised in the church along with his only brother Jerrell, and a host of other foster or adopted children that were taken in by his grandmother. When he was 7 years old, he began to write his own lyrics and decided that he wanted to purse singing & rapping as not only a talent, but as a career. Due to his natural talent to perform & entertain crowds, his mother began to enter him into every talent show or music competition possible, and he began to win. By the time he was 11 years old, he was a local celebrity. The sky was the limit for this rising star until tragedy struck when his mother lost her 13 year battle with Sarcoidosis and died in 2001.
