There are at least two artists by the name Marciano: 1. Marciano is a Chilean electronic music band formed by Sergio Lagos and Rodrigo Castro. Their career began in 1996 and in 2006 they celebrated 10th anniversary. Between 1998 and 2005 they have released 5 studio albums. In November of 2012 they reunited to perform at the Creamfields electronic music festival in Chile. 2. Marciano (who goes by The Inimitable and Marciano) is a country music singer from Brazil. He started singing as a child at religious parties with his father and at the age of 16 met João Mineiro and later co-founded the duo-group "João Mineiro & Marciano". The duo's greatest success was during the 1970s-1990s, and in 1993 Marciano embarked on his solo career while composing over 150 songs for himself and other artists along the way. In 2005 he was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award and in 2016 he formed a new duo-group with Milionário called "Milionário & Marciano". In 2019 Marciano passed away due to a massive heart attack while sleeping in his home São Caetano do Sul. He was 67.
