Founded in Ferrara in 2009, MARCHESI SCAMORZA initially presented itself as a covers band with a declared loyalty to the Italian ''big three'' plus GOBLIN, QUELLA VECCHIA LOCANDA, METAMORFOSI, LOCANDA DELLE FATE and BIGLIETTO PER L'INFERNO. In the early days they managed to cultivate some of their own material but following the recording of a demo in 2010 original keyboards-player Chiara Scaglianti left the band (during summer of the same year). However, with the arrival of her replacement, Enrico Cazzola, the band quickly morphed into a full-on prog act and under the guidance of vocalist/lyricist Enrico Bernardini they also shifted their focus to entirely self-penned material. Founding members Lorenzo Romani (guitars), Paolo Brini (bass) and Alessandro Padovani (drums) complete the current line-up. In 2011 they recorded their springboard ''Sentieri Di Carta'' EP, which comprised three songs that would later be rearranged for their first full-length album ''La Sposa Del Tempo'' (2012). This new album was recorded in the countryside outside Ferrara and the tranquillity of the rural surroundings provided the inspiration for what is a genuinely pastoral work. It's an album of memories and reflections that unites the individual band members' different experiences into a single musical vision, one stimulated by their common attachment to the RPI creed.
