Two turntables and a funky piano. That\'s what Marc "DJ" Hype and keyboard wizzard Jim Dunloop from Berlin are about. Their set-up is one of the most original concepts since the party moved from the parcs into the clubs. Marc Hype and Jim Dunloop are bringing back "The Mexican", one of the defining b-boy hymns and underground dance classics of all time. The original version by the British rock group Babe Ruth was a groundbreaking cut at Kool Herc's block parties in the Bronx as well as at David Mancuso's Loft in Manhattan. "The Mexican" has been sampled and covered by everybody from Bambaataa and Todd Terry to The Bombers and Jellybean. Marc Hype and Jim Dunloop from Berlin are coming with a completey fresh and 100% sample-free take for 2006, flipping the original vocals of singer Janita Hahn with full emphasis on the breaks and the keys.
