Fedak was born Mar. 19, 1963, the same day as Ornette Coleman, in Windsor Ontario. Growing up he listened to Pink Floyd (especially from 1967 to 1976), King Crimson, Soft Machine, Iggy and the Stooges, and pre-1977 ELO, among others. While studying at The University of Windsor, Fedak played in Groundwater, The Prehistoric Cavestrokers, and the Rump Rangers. Since 1995, he's been in a garage rock/psychedelic/space folk rock band called Spacecraft 7, and more recently, Yolassi, an alternative pop/rock band. He has also played in a country band called the Wanted. Fedak uses a Tascam 2400 digital recorder, Shure SM57 microphone, Yamaha classical guitar, and sundry implements and found objects.
