Mantis Mating Call is a power noise project created by AyanamisSlave (Animassacre) and inspired by the micro world that even the bigger species like us try to evade. Insects are said to have no emotions or intelligence whatsoever, but MMC propagates the opposite: Insects DO have feelings and they DO have intelligence, only their ideals and purposes are too different for any human to comprehend. The mantis is one of the most predatory arthropod that preys on insects, amphibians, snakes and small birds. It is a mostly frightening animal; poisonous, fast and deadly even to humans. The perfect predator. Project MMC is mimicking the noises of the insect world on a different frequency. The sound is sickly pre-modulated and distorted. Music with no emotions at all or at least, this is how it seems. Insects are much different from us and this is how they would sound and how MMC interprets the micro world in music. It’s visualization with all of its inhabitants, fighting for survival like cyberpunk characters, feeding on what they find and running away from the opposing species.
