Mamou Sidibé is another example of a new generation of artists in southern Mali, this time in the region of Ganadougou. Daughter of a famous singer, music has always been part of her education. During her childhood, she sang at festivals in his village, and later she sang in the fields to encourage farmers in their hard work. Mamou decided to try to start a musical career and went to Bamako. In the late 80s, she sang as a chorister in the group of Oumou Sangare.
