Mama Selita is a Warsaw (Poland) based band which plays an explosive mix of true-school funk music with a rock fervour and doesn't shun from incorporating a broad selection of other styles such as reggae, jazz and hip-hop. What differs the group from peers are light, often satirical lyrics of vocalist Arty which in turn are supported by the deep and pulsing rhythms of drummer El Bolo, bassist Ziggi and the smashing and energy -driven guitar duo of Gregor and Piotroo. Yet great contact with the audience during gigs is what makes sure that people at the show get down and funky and have a good time flowing away with the sounds and groove of Mama Selita. The band spends most of its time touring the country, slowly yet strenuosly making a name for itself locally and nationally.
