Makeshift Truth Makeshift Truth are a new band with a long history and a blistering live show. They are a band that after only 4 shows were being asked to headline gigs due to their Music, Energetic Live Show and Fast Built Fan base. After Mike D was kicked out of Mongrel (Hondo MacLean/The Future) he was asked to hook up with Oliver, Kevin and the now Funeral for a Friend Guitarist Kris Coombs-Roberts. The band PH-14 formed, a band that after a while ran out of steam with the remaining members (Mike, Oliver and Kris) starting the now legendary January Thirst with Johnny Phillips (Mongrel/ Funeral for a Friend), Matthew Evans (Dignity Dies First/Funeral for a Friend) and Kerry Roberts (Funeral for a Friend). Oliver soon left to pursue his dream of becoming a music teacher, not long after recording a track for the UK/HC (Blackfish Records) compilation album. Mike also quit because he was unhappy with the band. Many years later after all watching their friends bands Funeral for a Friend, Hondo MacLean/The Future and Bullet for my Valentine play bigger and bigger shows Kevin, Kerry and Oliver started writing new music to start a new band. After a chance find on Myspace Mike and Oliver got in touch again and started to talk about the old days and Mike was asked to try out for the new band.
