Major Seven and the Minors is the name of the musical project created by Bergen, Norway native, Kato Ådland. Known for his easy manner and flawless musical prowess, Kato has worked with many musical groups over the years as producer and as a member. He shared a studio, (Gjøa Studio) with H.P. Gundersen in Bergen, Norway where he helped produce a variety of artists such as: House of Hiss, Real Ones, Sissy Wish, Sergeant Petter, Julian Berntzen, Segrov, Nathalie Nordnes, Matias Tellez, Helen Eriksen, Tim Rose, and Jørgensen. He is best known for his work with fellow Bergen singer-songwriter, Sondre Lerche. Participating as lead guitarist/backing vocalist in his band, The Faces Down. He also has been known to play along with Petter Folkedal (a.k.a.: Sergeant Petter) from time to time. In 2005, he worked along side Jørgen Træen and Hans Petter Gundersen to produce and record with London musician, Alisdair Stirling. Together they formed the group known as, House of Hiss. In May of 2006 they released the album titled, "House of HIss: Greatest Hiss."
