Mainspring was an emo/hardcore band from Detroit, active from 1993/4 to 1996. Members: The drummer, Matt, was 15 when they recorded their first 7β. He stole few copies of Playboy from the studio lobby and used them to stuff his kick drum. His current βbandβ is Blue Vein. Based out of NYC, he and one of the guys from Thoughts of Ionesco play corporate events for Wall Street types. The bass player, Dusty, went on to perform in the Whiskey Tenor. Drew, guitar/vocals, has played in a bunch of pop bands. Currently he writes brilliant songs, that will never see the light of day. John, the other guitar/vocals lives in Seattle WA and plays in a weird experimental metal bands Devil's Son- Inlaw(Oakland), the Beast(Oakland), and Solo ambient work as Dunne. with a lot of amps and blown speakers.
