Maii Waleed is a singer-songwriter from Egypt. She was born and raised in Alexandria in 1988. She is also a pianist and guitarist. Furthermore, she used to play drums in the all-girl Metal band Mascara. She was also once part of Telepoetic, an Electro-Rock Egyptian ensemble. She dropped her EP album, Moga, which Zeid Hamdan produced, in May 2013. Waleed describes her songs as “very sad, based on disappointment, on my life”.
