Mahiru Coda (甲田まひる, born May 24, 2001) is a Japanese singer-songwriter, jazz pianist, actress, and fashion influencer. Born in Okinawa and raised in Tokyo, she initially gained prominence in her early teens under the alias Mappy, attracting a significant following as a fashion icon and jazz prodigy. Biography and Career Coda began her career in the public eye as a fashionista, known for her unique style which she documented on social media. This visibility led to opportunities in the fashion industry, including invitations to Tokyo Fashion Week. Simultaneously, she pursued a career as a jazz pianist, releasing her debut jazz album PLANKTON in 2018. She later transitioned to a career as a singer-songwriter, blending elements of J-Pop, alternative R&B, and hip-hop with her jazz roots. She made her major debut with Warner Music Japan.
