Magic Daddy is Greg Hurst, a Glasgow-based musician and producer. He records music in a new sub-genre called glitch-bitch-step-pop-house. So far there have been releases Optimo nightclub's Oscarr label, The Black Rabbit Whorehouse EP Vol 1, and stuffrecords' Stuff004 EP. Both releases have had coverage in magazines like The Wire and DJ, as well as online coverage on last.fm, Pitchfork and Gabba.net. Since then have followed remixes for Australian producer Dsico, an ill-fated remix for the Flying Matchstick Men, a soundtrack for dance company Firebox, and a forthcoming remix of Glasgow electro band Big Face.
