The Brazilian band "Madre" started at Cordeiro city-Rj, in 2007 with Rafael Monteiro, Filipe Bonan and other musicians. Along the time, name and components changed, recentely Peter Friedrich and Beatriz Teixeira entered the group which has as style Rock'n Roll plus experiences and preferences from each artist. One of the most important goals of the group is musical quality in Portuguese, having inspiration from Led Zeppelon, Deep Purple, Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Taryn Szpilman, Secos e Molhados, Mutantes among others. Actually, they work on their first CD. Their Myspace account is in Portuguese. Note: There's also the German-Italian deathmetal band called "Madre Del Vizio", they shortened their name to "Madre" for the album “Mesmerismo” because of rights issues, however, most of their stuff are in the original name.
