Artist
Madlocks (Real name: Chris Pinnock) is a 90s Canadian hip hop artist. Many of Toronto’s biggest names got their start on BeatFactory’s Rap Essentials compilations. In 1997, Madlocks, a Jamestown head who rolled with a group called Unit 7, was featured on Volume 2 with a big record called “Gusto” featuring Michelle Ricketts. Madlocks became the first solo recording artist signed to BeatFactory Music in 1998 and used the opportunity to release the single, “In My Life,” featuring R&B crooner, Glenn Lewis, and then a full-length release entitled Nothing To Lose Much To Gain in 1999. Madlocks sadly passed away August 27, 2013 due to health complications. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
