Srimathumitha is a leading playback singer in Tamil and telugu. Born in Chennai ( March 21st, 1988), She grew up some initial years in Bombay. She is classically trained in carnatic from Lalgudi Jayraman school and in Hindustani music and has undergone special Ghazal training that enabled her to win the All India Ghazal contest held in New Delhi when she was just 11 years old. She sang the famous Wafa ka Naanm ghazal of Runa Laila and won this.
