Madeleine Mayi is an LA-based, Santa Barbara-raised singer/songwriter with a penchant for fearless songwriting and guitar-based indie rock. Her song-writing has only grown more honest over the years, in a way that shows she is not afraid to deal with the ups and downs of life head on. Her song "for a second" is a perfect example of honesty even if it's uncomfortable, as it talks about one of life's least romantic subjects: settling. "I've been thinking a lot about how friends and relationships fall off when you go through life changes, and how hard it is to admit it when something is over. I remember this one time before I ended things with someone, we had the most perfect day ever- it literally seemed like a dream.
