Madbeavers were formed in 1998 as Kiyoshi's the MAD BEAVERS. The line up was Kiyoshi (Guitar & Vocals), Chirolyn (Bass & Vocals), and JOE (Drums), until Chirolyn's split with the group in September 2007 left them a bassist short. All three were members of hide with Spread Beaver together, and more recently Joe and Chirolyn did support for Machine, Kiyoshi's band with vocalist Hakuei. As of September 2007, Chirolyn has left the band to pursue solo ventures. They performed in November 2007 with Michiaki of Ra:In as support bassist, and a new bassist named Ebi officially took Chirolyn's place as of December 2007.
