Mad Planets were a pop-punk trio based in Stony Brook, Long Island (NY), active from 1994β1998, featuring Tara Emelye Needham (bass, vocals), Erik Robinson, (guitar, vocals) and John Kapp (drums). Florida-based label Papercut then released a split-cassette with the Planets and The Cups, "A History of Rain" which included "Yr. Version of Cool." Following that, the Planets released their song "Super-8" on a split 7" from papercut records with tracks by Low, Lois and The Receptionists. They also released a split 7" with fellow Long Islanders an
