Mad Man Jones was a name variation of American tenor saxophonist Tommy "Madman" Jones (real name: Thomas Douglas Jones). Jones was born on October 19th 1922 in Chicago, Illinois. He died on April 08th 1993 in St. Louis, Missouri. He led the jazz groups T.J. & The Group and the Tommy Jones Quartet. As Mad Man Jones he provided vocals for the 1958 rock & roll novelty song "Yeah!" by Louis Carpenter's All Stars.
