Macrocosmica were Keith Beacom (drums), Gordon Brady (guitar), Brendan O'Hare (guitar) and Cerwyss O'Hare (bass). Keith and Gordon were former members of heavy psyche outfit Bangtwister, while Brendan was previously in Teenage Fanclub, Telstar Ponies and Mogwai, as well as releasing 3 albums under the Fiend monicker. Previous band members were Gavin Laird (guitar), who was also the bass player in Telstar Ponies & Russel McEwan (Drums) who now fronts Black Sun. Formed in Glasgow, Scotland in 1996 and active until 2005 the band have released: a mini-album (Ad Astra, God Bless Records, 1997), an e.p. (Space Geek, God Bless Records, 1998), two albums (Art of the Black Earth, Trepanner Headmusic Company, 2003 & (Farewell to Earth, Trepanner Headmusic Company, 2005), and a single (Torch Number One, Too Many Fireworks Records, 2003). They recorded a BBC Radio One Peel Session (1997), a BBC Radio One Session in Scotland (1999), and a BBC Radio Scotland Live Session (2003). As great as their recorded output is, the band really shone in a live setting as those lucky enough to have seen them will testify. And they were really funny too.
