Mach-Hommy is a hip hop artist from Newark, New Jersey, by way of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He has drawn attention for the high prices he charges for his work (between US$300 and $3000) many of which have also been released as highly sought after and expensive limited vinyl editions. His reclusiveness and anonymity (expressed through a Haitian flag bandana draped across his face) also draw attention as well as a long standing affiliation with Griselda Records. Throughout the early-to-late 2010s he cultivated a respectable, cult-like fan base through releasing ("dumping") a large number of projects which peaked in 2017. Mach has worked closely and extensively with Tha God Fahim frequently using the moniker "Dump Gawd". Hommy is credited as executive producer on Fahim's "TGIF" project from 2016, among others, and more recently was credited as such on Your Old Droog's 2019 album "Jewelry" and Big Cheeko's 2022 album "Block Barry White". Mach's debut release "Goon Grizzle" was originally released in 2004 under his own imprint Slizback Entertainment, the album was later re-released for a short time online in 2017. After a car accident in the early 2010s, Mach released "F.Y.I." for free on his Bandcamp page in 2013. The project was an amalgam of a series of EPs he would release in the months leading up to the album.
