Mike Smith (born 1985) is a UK Trance producer who releases under the initialism MK-S. The first major milestone in his career was 'Illuminate', written in 2003 and released in the early 2004 on the Trance Communication label (ATCR), which was well received by many major DJs. Armin van Buuren featured it as 'Tune of the Week' on A State of Trance, and Paul van Dyk used it during the Soundgarden show on Radio Fritz. In early 2006 he producted a double release, 'Tempest / The Last Planet' released on Alter Ego Records. In addition to producing origional tracks, he has created remixes for various artists including Haak, Qursion, Solarium and Icone.
