MFC Team (also known as MFC X Team) consists of two people, Jimmy S and Refige, both of Samara, Russia. Jimmy S began creating music in 1997 and met up with fellow Russian producer Refige in 2001 to form MFC Team. Originally the band was called "The Mad Franklin Killerz" but the two found this name too long,so they switched to "MFK" for brief period and then later changed the K to a C and added a Team to the end of the name. during the early period MFC Team mostly made dark sounding Drum n Bass and had signed "Space Fuckness" (a jungle remake of the song Zero space by Kidney Thieves) to Paul B's Step2Zero label in January 2004, as well as "You Understand" on Crime Wave Recordings out of France, along with a ragga remix. The most well known single they would release at this time would be Anabioz/Height vinyl on Riset Records. in 2004 The group later decided that they didn't want to do label work anymore so Jimmy parted with Refige and concentrated on a harder sound. this led to the impressive sounding breakcore/mash up mixtapes which mixed the likes of popular metal/alternative acts such as Ateryu, Pennywise, Devildriver and even Nirvana with heavy amen breaks. as from may 2007, frontman Jimmy S annouced he was no longer going to use the MFC Team name no more, and now performs under his own name. for more info check http://www.myspace.com/jimmysbandmusic User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
