Mayson the Soul made his debut through collaboration project “One Way Ticket” with musicians Joosuc and Jin Doggae. Born and raised in Incheon, Seoul, he started his underground music career by singing and performing at various cafes. It was during one of his underground performances when Joosuc spotted his talent and asked Mayson to join his label Finest Records. “Bus Stop,” one of the tracks off of his debut album “Jackasoul,” uses the song’s title as a metaphor in regards to meeting and separating with people. Mayson describes his music as British Pop soul meet original soul originated from African Americans.
