Malefic Throne is an American death metal supergroup formed in 2020 in Tampa, Florida. The power trio unites veteran musicians with deep roots in the genre's old-school and technical extremes: guitarist Gene Palubicki (Angelcorpse, Perdition Temple, Blasphemic Cruelty), vocalist/bassist Steve Tucker (Morbid Angel, Warfather), and drummer John Longstreth (Origin, Hate Eternal, ex-Angelcorpse, ex-Gorguts). Their collaboration traces back to the mid-1990s, when the three first crossed paths at Florida's legendary Morrisound Recording studio while tracking albums for their respective bands—early sparks of infernal synergy that simmered for decades before igniting into this blistering project.
