There are have been multiple artists releasing music under the name Maddox. Maddox, were a five-piece indie band, from Stevenage who released music in 2010-2011. Their songwriter and lead vocalist, Jak Melvin describe their sound with nervy, edgy rhythms, as “New-Town-Wave”. The haunting, emotionally detached vocals, which conjure visions of urban romance on the track ‘Bright Young Hearts’. They have played on the BBC Radio ‘Introducing’ show. MADDOX. is the stage name of Trevor Maddox, a Christian songwriter from Denver, Colorado. He has been releasing music since 2016.
