Mónica Giraldo is a singer songwriter from Bogotá, Colombia. A Berklee College of Music graduate, Monica Giraldo received 2 recognitions from Billboard Magazine in 2007, one for Best Latin Song, and the other for Best New Talent. in 2008, Monica Giraldo was nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best New Artist. She was selected among 264 artists from 44 countries to perform a showcase at MIDEM world music market in Cannes France. She is set to perform at the SXSW in Austin, TX in March 21st, 2009.
