Rebeka is a Hungarian singer born on Somorja (Šamorín), Slovakia. Currently she´s working in Budapest, Hungary and released her first solo EP album Messzire (To far away). Her music and lyrics are nourished by the Central and Eastern European folk tradition, transmitting the folk´s genuine and immediate relation to the sacred and nature. Her work fills a gaping void in the Hungarian pop-culture by tailoring the american singer-songwriter and the regional folk tradition together, resembling such artists as Joni Mitchell, Vashti Bunyan, The Innocence Mission or Alela Diane.
