Lyric Dubee is a rock/pop/blues/jazz artist, born and raised in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. Although he can be classified by so many different genres of music, he’s created his own personalized genre called Revolution Rock. Lyric began his early musical career at the young age of nine, when he first picked up his father’s guitar. A few years and many lessons later, Lyric at the age of fourteen has already released a full length album and has played in bars, coffee shops, open mics, benefit concerts and even large music festivals all around southern Ontario such as NXNE and Canadian Music Week. Lyric is very involved in fundraising events as well. Many people consider Lyric to be an old soul with a sound that is new and refreshing. Lyric is influenced by many different types of music and has an open mind for everything. He is influenced by artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Guy, John Mayer and Linkin’ Park. His sound is unique but appeals to a variety of all ages. Many are unaware that Lyric writes all of his own music and lyrics and is able to use his creative mind to find inspiration on a daily basis for new songs. Success Lyric has come a long way in the past five years. His first album, ‘Broken Dreams’ was written and recorded when he was just twelve years old. The CD release party, which was held at the MacLaren Arts Centre in Barrie on May 28, 2011, was a huge success and brought over 150 people out to listen to the new performers sound.
