The Lynnfield Pioneers were a band from Brooklyn, NY, mixing funk, hiphop and punk influences. The band consisted of guitarist Mike Jansen and keyboard player Dan Cook, who are both from Lynnfield, Massachusetts, hence the name, and drummer John Paul Jones. The band released two albums: Emerge! (1997) and Free Popcorn (1999), both on the Matador label.
