Artist
Lyn Saga grew up in a small town in northern New Jersey and played in several pop-punk bands that performed in local venues. She later moved to Philadelphia for college where she explored a wide range of musical genres from acoustic folk music to electronic drum and bass music that was often played at nearby South Street and Fishtown venues. In February 2009, Lyn moved to Los Angeles barely knowing anyone. It took about a year for Lyn to be comfortable enough to start writing, recording, and playing shows again. Initially she recorded demos in her apartment using her laptop and an old karaoke microphone. During the summer of 2010, she recorded a five-song EP with producer Jim Roach (Hoku) and Thom Flowers (The Ataris). Lyn's songs are highly influenced by pop-rock music. Some of her biggest musical influences are Weezer, Hole, Ingrid Michaelson, and Sum41's guitar arrangements. Lyn's music is also inspired by everyday experiences and random situations she finds herself in, but always aims to please listeners with her lyrically simple and catchy tunes. Currently, Lyn is writing and performing at venues in the Los Angeles area. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
